Supplant ink cartridges in HP ENVY 5000 printers

Supersede low or empty cartridges in HP ENVY 5000 printers.

Purchase ink or toner cartridges

Replacement ink and toner is available from HP and local retailers.

2. Select your land/region and language.

3. Click Ink & toner at the summit of the folio.

4. Follow the instructions to notice and order the cartridges for your printer.

Install replacement ink cartridges

Install new cartridges in HP ENVY 5000 printers.

1. Make sure paper is loaded in the principal tray, then turn on the printer.

2. Use the handles on the sides of the printer to elevator the cartridge access lid until it locks into place.

   

3. Open the latch, and then pull the cartridge up and out of the slot.

   

4. Remove the new cartridge from the bundle. Be careful to only concur it by the black plastic sides.

5. Remove the tape from the cartridge.

   Circumspection:

   Do not touch the copper-colored contacts or the ink nozzles, or reapply the protective tape. Touching these areas can effect in an ink system failure.

   

6. Insert the cartridge into its colour-coded slot, making sure it is securely seated in the carriage, and and so close the latch.

7. Close the cartridge access lid.

8. If an alignment folio prints, follow the instructions on the folio to align the cartridges and complete the installation.
